Full story transcript
Adel left a little notebook beside the books and invited each reader to draw a favourite idea. The pages soon filled with a boat, a cloud and a garden. When Ziyad arrived, only the page Adel had saved for his own drawing remained.
Adel thought for a moment, then suggested sharing the page. Ziyad drew an open book, and Adel added a seat beside it. They worked in the small space without rubbing out each other’s lines, and the picture grew beyond what either had expected.
That evening Adel made another notebook with extra sheets and wrote Room for Another Idea on the cover. He placed the old notebook beside it, open at their shared drawing. Its last page had become the beginning of a new story.
