Turki arranged cushions in a circle at his family’s home in Hail. His game was simple: pass the soft ball and say a word beginning with the last letter you heard. But each round ended before one friend found a word, leaving him quietly watching the others.
Turki paused and asked his friends how to make the game more enjoyable. One suggested more time; his sister suggested letting anyone ask for help. They agreed that the ball would stay with each player until they chose a word or asked for a clue, with nobody leaving the circle.
When Turki’s turn came, he could not think of a word. He asked for a clue, and his friend offered one that led to a funny story. The evening ended with a long list of words and a rule Turki wrote on paper: we help each other so everyone can enjoy playing.
