Full story transcript
Saud arranged his miniature gathering space and placed a toy dallah and empty cups on a tray. When his sister arrived with her doll, every seat was taken.
He moved the tray aside and added a cushion beside the little window. His grandfather said that a welcome begins when a guest feels there is a place for them, so Saud asked his sister where her doll would like to sit.
They told a story for each doll. Saud kept the extra cushion in the box; another guest might join them next time.
