Full story transcript
At a weaving workshop, Latifah asked the weaver how she chose her colours. She listened to her story and wrote her name beside a drawing of the loom.
At home she arranged red and cream paper strips, but a black strip landed in an unexpected place. She nearly pulled it out, then tried repeating it.
She liked the new pattern. She wrote that the paper design was her own and that meeting the weaver had inspired her to begin. She kept the story and the work together.
