Full story transcript
After breakfast, Amal opened her notebook and drew the cloud above the mountain in white. At noon she returned to the window and saw grey along its underside. Wondering whether her first drawing was wrong, she reached for the eraser.
Maha suggested keeping the first drawing and putting the new view on another page. They sat by the window and drew what each of them noticed. Their pictures were different, but both showed the cloud’s shadow resting on the mountain.
Before sunset, Amal added a third drawing with a little pink in it. She arranged the pages in order and wrote the time beneath each one. Her notebook now told the story of a whole day, and she no longer needed to choose one picture as the right one.
