In Buraydah, Abeer planned her first imaginary business: bookmarks of her own design alongside a story-exchange shelf. She sketched the idea and wrote Bring a book, take a book above the shelf, without beginning any real sales.
Nawaf asked what a friend without a book to exchange would do. Abeer did not look for a secret exception; she crossed out the rule and wrote that participants could borrow without bringing anything in return.
Abeer divided her plan into design, time, and resources to review with her family before any sales. She and Nawaf agreed that borrowing a book would not require buying a bookmark, and they collected no full names or personal details to test the idea.
When the drawing was finished, a space remained for a book they had not discovered yet. Abeer saw a promise of curiosity, not of a product, and wrote: A good project changes when we listen.
